What is gematria?
Gematria assigns numeric values to letters to find the number behind a name. Each tradition uses a different table: the Pythagorean one reduces the alphabet to 1–9 cycles, the Chaldean inherits Babylonian numerology values, and the ordinal ones use each letter's position.
